As part of a global collaboration, premium vodka brand, Belvedere, has teamed up with artist Laolu Senbanjo, together launching a limited edition bottle. Dubbed ‘stunning’ by the vodka brand, the artist has adorned these bottles with his fine art, said to be an ‘interpretation of the complexity, nuance and character of the Belvedere liquid’.
While you may not be hugely familiar with the artist’s name, you will certainly be aware of some of his work. Being responsible for the art on Beyoncé’s ‘Lemonade’ album cover, Senbanjo is highly sought-after; one that is known for his mantra ‘”Everything is My Canvas”.
With a very modernist feel, the art on the bottle is said to represent water and rye; boasting sharp edges and bold colours. The wrap also reacts to UV lights. This is due to the fact that Senbanjo wanted to introduce another sensory element to the bottle.
Thrilled with the outcome, Rodney Williams, president of Belvedere Vodka, said the following:
“When Laolu paints a subject, each design is unique to what he believes depicts their inner beauty. This phenomenal message is seamlessly in line with our mission to reveal the unexpected beauty in life.”
“Also as a social advocate and former human rights attorney, Laolu’s philosophies align with our commitment to community and creating positive action in the world; in this case, the program supports the (RED) organization and the Global Fund to fight HIV/AIDS in Africa, a cause we’ve been supporting for 8 years.”
But, you will not be able to get your hands on these creations yet. According to sources, they will be unveiled at New York Fashion Week later this month.
