Popstar turned winemaker, Pink, has recently released her first three blended wines made
from Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. And, within just a day of
launching, all 114 cases have sold out.

The making of the wine

Pink’s passion for wine sparked when she tasted a Châteauneuf-du-Pape, she told
Philadelphia Inquirer:

“That was the a-ha wine for me, the first one. And then it sort of just
became a rabbit hole for me.”

After that, in 2013, she bought a 25-acre organic vineyard in Santa Barbara County,
California, before taking classes with the Wine & Spirit Education Trust and UCLA.

Five years later, she then revealed her secret passion for winemaking by launching the Two
Wolves label.

Pink named her wine Two Wolves, after a Cherokee parable about the opposing forces of
good and evil and how they battle within everyone.

What do the wines include?

All three wines include a 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon (made from 86% Cabernet Sauvignon,
10% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot), a 2015 Cabernet Franc (made from 5% Cabernet
Sauvignon) and a 2015 Petit Verdot (20% Cabernet Franc).

They range from $60 TO $90, sold online in nine US states and
Washington DC.

Future winemaking plans

Those who missed the first release of Pink’s wine will not have to wait much longer for the
singer’s wine as there are plans for Two Wolves to release a second batch online in April
2019.

There are also plans to begin selling wholesale in the autumn with the intention of
potentially becoming more widely available.
